Croatia is among the favourites for the Germans!
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes on the 22nd of January, 2018, when it comes to the category of countries, Croatia has been ranked third as a car destination with a 7.6 percent share, followed by Germany, which is leads strongly with 27.6 percent.
For the eighth consecutive year, Istria is the most desirable regional destination for German drivers, according to a survey by the famous German auto club ADAC. Istria’s popularity grew by one percent in comparison to last year, to 13 percent. Far behind Istria, in second and third place are Lago di Garda (Lake Garda) in Italy with 5.2 percecnt, and Dalmatia with a five percent share, while in fourth place come Veneto and Friuli with 3.9 percent.
As Glas Istre writes, Germany’s ADAC conducts a yearly test of 170,000 trips taken by Germans with personal vehicles, the survey includes data on the use of ADAC’s routenplanner (route planner) on route itineraries from Germany to the destinations across the continent where Germans spend their holidays, with the beautiful region of Istria appearing to be the most sought-after region for German tourists who are driving.
As previously stated, in the category of countries, Croatia is ranked third as a car destination, with a 7.6 percent share, followed by Germany, then by Italy with 18.1 percent, Austria (6.8 percent) and Turkey (6.2 percent).
Croatia sits at a comfortable third in the list of favourite German camping destinations after Italy and Germany, and ahead of both France and Spain, otherwise classic destinations.
