The tourism industry focus will be on Slavonia next year.
It was just a promise, but now it has received an official confirmation. The Days of the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies (UHPA) in 2019 will be held in Vinkovci, reports hrturizam.hr on October 11, 2018.
UHPA’s representatives, president Tomislav Fain and main office head Ivana Maltar, visited Vinkovci and together with the Vinkovci Tourist Board agreed on cooperation with regards to the organization of the UHPA Days in Vinkovci, which will take place from 21 to 23 March 2019.
“After an agreement with the Vinkovci Tourist Board and hotels, I can confirm that UHPA Days will be held in Slavonia, more precisely in the town of Vinkovci. Everyone talks a lot about Slavonia, and we have immediately supported the initiative for the Days of Croatian Tourism to be held in Slavonia, as well as announcing that we will hold the UHPA Days in Slavonia as well. We are now just fulfilling the promise we gave. We do not want just to talk about it, but we want to give our own contribution and act to help Slavonia develop its tourism. First and foremost, I believe that our members should get to know this part of Croatia, because many of them do not know what Slavonia has to offer, and I personally think it can offer so much. That is why we are coming so that UHPA members can be introduced to the tourist offer of Slavonia,” UHPA president Tomislav Fain said.
The UHPA Days are the annual meeting organized by UHPA, the largest national professional association of travel agencies, bringing together more than 150 participants, tourist agencies – UHPA members, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, the Croatian National Tourist Board, professional associations in tourism and other Croatian tourism sector stakeholders.
This is a great opportunity for the whole of Slavonia to present its tourist offer to travel agencies and have an on-site direct contact with agents and representatives of travel agencies.
Thus, the year 2019 will certainly be a major positive turning point for Slavonia since the UHPA Days and the Days of Croatian Tourism (Vinkovci, Osijek) will be held in Slavonia.
