Dubrovnik Connected to Split by Seaplane: First Flight Next Month

Total Croatia News

Finally! Dubrovnik and Split connected by seaplane!

It is possibly the most Googled search term for tourists on the ground in Croatia – how to get from Dubrovnik to Split? And as of next month, there will be the quickest connection available – just 45 minutes by seaplane from Dubrovnik Airport to downtown Split, as European Coastal Airlines announced its latest route on their Facebook page on January 13, 2016.

The new daily route will commence on February 1, with initial prices of just 39 euro one way.

The news will be greeted warmly by tourists who want to visit both hit destinations. There is currently no air service between the two Dalmatian cities, and the choices currently a 5-hour bus journey, trip by car, long ferry ride or, as of this summer, a 3-hour catamaran ride.

The addition of Dubrovnik Aiport to the ECA network is the latest in a series of announcements by the airline, which now flies internationally from Croatia to Ancona, with Pescara flights also due to start next month.
