Good news for those of us who work in the leisure and tourism industry as 5500 tourists currently enjoy the Easter period in Dubrovnik.
The number of guests in Dubrovnik for Easter matches the level of last years calculations. The results of tourist traffic during this year’s Easter period fits right in with the educated estimations and expectations of those in the local tourist industry. There are currently 5551 registered guests in hotels, private accommodation and other facilities in the city, and that goes without mentioning all of the very many types of accommodation that go unregistered with authorities all year long. This matches the level of last year’s results for this time of year and confirms the practically unrivalled popularity of Dubrovnik as a year-round destination.
According to data from the Dubrovnik Tourist Board on March 28, 2016, the highest number of tourists are arriving from Spain, followed by guests from elsewhere here in Croatia, as well as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, USA, Greece, Japan, the United Kingdom and Korea.
If I may speak for all of us who live off tourism, lets hope this trend continues and that this year will be even more prosperous than the last.
