A visit to the Zagreb Museum of Arts and Crafts.
Many people in Croatia and elsewhere are familiar with Edo Murtić, probably the most famous recent Croatian artist. His works hang in the major art galleries all over the world, and he has had solo exhibitions in the London Tate Gallery and New York Museum of Modern Art, amongst others.
Less well known is that Murtić did a lot more than just paintings. He did stage sets, murals, ceramics and enamels, including the recently restored, huge 324 panel, 42 metre long enamel installation at the Tuhelj Spa swimming pool, using kitchen cooker covers!
You can now see a representative collection of ceramics enamels and sketches without leaving Zagreb. The Zagreb Museum or Arts and Crafts is showing Murtić’s works in a special retrospective exhibition that lasts till January 3rd, 2016, reports HRT.
The entry price of 30 Kuna covers both the Murtić exhibit and also the permanent collection and any other special exhibits at the museum.
