October 12, 2018 – The first Croatian glamping resort with wooden tree houses has opened in Grabovac, near Plitvice Lakes National Park. The Plitvice Holiday Resort, with its five unique tree houses and nine smaller homes, offers an ideal combination of natural attractions, cultural beauty and recreational facilities for a luxury vacation any time of the year.
Located high in the pine trees, the distinctive design of the luxurious tree houses provides a perfect opportunity to re-connect with nature and beautiful surroundings by providing you with an elegant interior designed for comfort and relaxation. The five specially equipped houses can accommodate four people and have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a terrace, a kitchen, air conditioning, TV and free WiFi.On the other side of the resort there are nine smaller homes on the article lake. All of the houses have been made using 100% Croatian products by Croatian manufactures.
The concept of the luxury glamping at the resort was done by Abstracto studio from Zagreb who was responsible for the complete design of the exterior and interior of the homes and the landscape with the lake.
“There is a great challenge ahead of us when designing the concept because of the investor’s desire to make the project something unseen so far in our area and beyond. However, years of experience and trust of the investor and the director of the Grabovac camp, with whom we have collaborated successfully earlier, made it easier for us to make this project and now we can safely say that we have achieved this desire,” said Ivan Plemenčić, manager of the architectural team.
The resort, with a total area of 50.000 m2, also includes 94 camping pitches and 22 camping spots, 10 mobile homes, and 6 Indian tents.
