Rovinj is the first town in the country to realize three million overnight stays, which happened two weeks earlier compared to last year, reports Poslovni.hr on August 25, 2017. It should also be pointed out that more than 490,000 arrivals were recorded in Rovinj until today, which is 12 percent more than in the same period last year, reports Glas Istre.
“As we believed and hoped, Rovinj today exceeded the magical number of three million overnight stays. We are very proud of this figures all the more because they are realized with a total basic accommodation capacity of 35,227 beds and without the Park Hotel and new ACI marina which are being built and renovated in order to welcome new tourist season and new guests next year,” says the director Tourist Board of the City of Rovinj Odete Sapač. When asked where does largest number of people come from and who favours our country the most, she answers”Well, they all love us”.
“Rovinj is a destination where every guest is welcome.However, when looking at statistics and the number of guests, we can say that this year most guests came from Germany, the country where we also recorded the highest percentage of growth compared to last year (up to 19 percent).Along with the Germans, there are many guests from Austria as well (and their percentage compared to last year is 11 percent higher),” says Sapač.
