Health Tourism Conference Coming to Best Health Destination

In less than ten days Crikvenica, recently declared the most successful health destination in Croatia at the Croatian Tourism Days, will host an international conference dedicated to health tourism.

The Omorika Hotel in Crikvenica will host on 16 and 17 November, for the fifth year in a row, the Crikvenica International Health Tourism Conference (CIHT), organised by the Crikvenica Tourism Board and co-organised by Thalassotherapia Crikvenica and the Kvarner Health Tourism Cluster, reported on November 7, 2017.

The CIHT conference will bring together esteemed and respected domestic and foreign lecturers and participants from the sectors of medicine and economy, primarily tourism. Along with lecturers from Croatia, valuable knowledge and experience will be shared by experts from the United States, China, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, United Arab Emirates and Germany.

The ceremonial opening is on November 16, with the first conference day divided into four units, and this year for the first time one of them will not have classic presentations, but a round table instead on the topic of “Health Tourism – yesterday, today, tomorrow.” Participants will include Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli, Croatian Tourism Board Director Kristjan Staničić, Deputy Healthcare Minister Denis Kovačić, Croatian Health Tourism Cluster President Vladimir Mozetič and Rident Polyclinic Director Željko Miljanić.

Participants can expect numerous interesting lectures in diverse and educational topics, such as respiratory rehabilitation, experiences and expectations of US patients, various models and sources of financing in health tourism, how to increase profit by meeting patients, how a satisfied patients becomes the best promoter, integrative medicine as a strategically important opportunity for local counties, traditional Chinese medicine and many others.
