Another cultural summer is ahead of us on the island of Korcula, with the International Art Festival Marco Polo kicking off on June 9, 2018.
The Festival aims to develop, support, spread and express the uniqueness of cinematographies inspired by the path of Silk Trade. The Festival is located in the ancient town of Korčula, historically appointed as the birthplace and the departure point of Marco Polo, the traveller. Now, we wish to make it a joyful destination for everyone who values the culture of dialogue as well as learning from cultural differences.
This is why the Festival is called S i l k R o a d – t h e P a t h o f D i a l o g u e . The program features a selection of motion picture, music and fine arts from the countries related to the Silk Road. It is our desire to present all recent experimental, radical and creative works of art-related to this area, primarily focusing on excellence and artistic impression.
