October 11, 2018 – The itinerary for the 2019 Nikola Tesla EV Rally in Croatia has been announced.
It is the quietest and cleanest rally in the world, and the country which gave the world Nikola Tesla (he was born in the village of Smiljan, which is located in modern-day Croatia) will once again host the sixth edition of the Nikola Tesla EV Rally.
The electric vehicle rally, which first started in 2014 at a time when Croatia had just five registered electric cars and four charging stations, has been continuously pushing the boundaries in Croatia ever since, showing what is possible with e-mobility in Croatia. For the last two years, the rally has visited several islands, and video footage of a Jadrolinija filled with Tesla cars was shared by the Tesla car company on its social media. Past participants have included the mother of Elon Musk, Maye Musk, Mate Rimac and the first buyer of the Rimac Concept One, Paul Runge – you can read TCN’s interview with him here.
This year’s event will start in Novi Vinodoski and push further south than ever – as far as Dubrovnik – before heading back up the coast to Sibenik, Tesla’s birthplace of Smiljan, finishing in Zagreb. The full itinerary can be found below.
