There will be two daily flights connecting Zagreb and Doha in July and August.
Qatari flag carrier Qatar Airways, member of the Oneworld alliance, is continuing its two flights a day connecting Zagreb and Doha, which we wrote about here.
The double service was supposed to last until the end of June, but avioradar.hr reported on July 18 that it will continue in July and August as well (July 1 – August 31, 2017.)
The operations will be maintained with an Airbus A320 until September 1, when there will be ten weekly flights instead of 14. However, on the days when there are two daily flights, the second flight will be maintained with a bigger aircraft, Airbus A321.
Avioradar.hr suspects that the suspension of flights to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, UAE, Egypt and Kingdom of Bahrain has probably contributed to the decision.
Qatar Airways is considering introducing its first base outside Qatar – Sohar Airport in the northeast of Oman, near the border with the UAE. Zagreb has been mentioned as a possible destination for the new airport but there is no detailed information related to the possibility yet.
