Stunning Dalmatian Coast Features Once More in Huffington Post

Winter blues? Start dreaming of summer with a great write-up from Huffington Post on 11 January, 2017. 

Beaches, beaches, beaches. The stereotype of the Dalmatian coast, and with good reason. With endless beaches along the coast and plethora of emerald islands, coupled with some of the cleanest and most inviting sea on the planet, it is understandable why one would head straight to the beach. 

But there is so much more to the Dalmatian coast than sun-worshipping. A really nice piece in the Huffington Post by Stefani Jackenthal takes a much deeper look at the road from Dubrovnik to Hvar. Off-road Jeep safaris, kayaking, wine tasting, salt pans, historic towns, cable cars, sunsets, art and a little food – a very nice overview.

“As the late morning autumn sun warmed my shoulders, I plunged the long paddle into the translucent turquoise Adriatic Sea, gliding along the craggy limestone coastline. There where scantly clad sun-worshippers nesting in nooks and crannies of the porous manila “Karst” rock. A pod of colorful kayaks emerged from a nearby cove surrounding one of Croatia’s 718 islands and islets. I slowed my SUP, from Adriatic Kayak Tours, to admire the serene, sparkly water surrounding Dubrovnik’s imposing City Wall (1.2-miles), which encircles the bustling Old Town.”
