June 24, 2018 – It has been a busy year for upgrading facilities for leading hotel group Suncani Hvar. A sneak peek at what is new in the chain’s luxury Hotel Adriana.
Another busy summer season is upon us, and there has been plenty of activity in the hotel sector in Hvar Town, with Suncani Hvar sprucing up some of its hotels for the 2018 season.
The biggest change has come at Hotel Adriana, the group’s premier hotel a short walk from the main square, and with arguably the best views in town from its famed Top Bar. How many other places can you take in a panoramic view of the Pakleni Islands, the fabled Hvar waterfront, a full view of the main square and even the Spanish Fortress above? Quite a view, and one which deserves a little love and comfort so that guests can make the most out of it.
Located on the top floor of the hotel, the new chic interior is a relaxed place to enjoy a glass of wine or signature cocktail, especially when the sun goes down – guaranteed to be the best sunsets in town. The menu has seen a revamp as well, with some imaginative Asian influences to complement the existing Mediterranean and international cuisine.
A new look too for the lobby bar, complete with fabulous views out to the town and harbour. Ideal for brunch and pre-dinner snacks, with the emphasis on comfort and relaxation.
And when it comes to fine dining, a new look also for the ground floor restaurant of Adriana. Val Marina places an emphasis on the delicious local cuisine – Hvar’s Mediterranean diet was inscribed as intangible UNESCO heritage back in 2013, and just ask the waiter for a recommendation to find out why. As with the diet, so too are local wines highly prized, and the selection of international and local wines is comprehensive. The restaurant terrace is one of the unsung treasures of Hvar tourism and a delightful place to spend a leisurely breakfast.
Perhaps the most important addition for upscale travellers has been the addition of much larger penthouse suites, luxury open-plan suites up to 42m2, which offer fabulous panoramic views of the harbour and old town.
No luxury stay would be complete without the appropriate spa facilities, and Adriana has a longstanding reputation as a leading wellness hotel on the Adriatic. That reputation is about to be enhanced, with the newly-revamped spa over 1.600m2 comprising six different indoor and outdoor levels, 8 luxury treatment rooms, 4 types of sauna, VIP couple’s room and relax room, fitness studio, vitality bar and brand-new rooftop pool.
All facilities are open for non-residents, so if you feel like coming in for a drink to check out the new look Adriana, or would like to treat your loved one to a little pampering at the Sensori Spa, then check out the Suncani Hvar website for more details.
