It is year two of a great initiative to promote the regional cuisine in Croatia, with Varazdin County kicking off with 13 restaurants offering great value menus until May 1, 2017.
Croatia has fabulous regional cuisine, and I was fortunate last year to attend the opening of a great new initiative to promote Croatian regional cuisine all over the country.
The concept is very simple. Collect a number of participating restaurants, encourage them to put together two good value meals reflecting only the ingredients and specialities of that region, offer them at a promotional price at the same time and under the same brand, then promote the story to encourage people to sample the restaurant’s wares.
Last year’s event was kicked off by Varazdin County (you can read about it here) in Zagreb, and the flavours of Varazdin are available again, with 13 restaurants all over the county taking part in the event, which runs until May 1, with three-course meals being offered for just 75 kuna. Check out the participating restaurants and menus below.
Dobar Tek!
