It is peak season, and some of the boats on Croatia’s luxury waterfronts are getting bigger…
A romantic waterfront dinner with another amazing Croatian sunset – it is an experience many people are enjoying as the amazing 2015 summer continues, but sometimes diners get a little extra included in the view…
Take diners at upscale luxury fish restaurant Gariful earlier this week for example. Named by Giorgio Armani as one of his top 7 restaurants in the world, Gariful is no stranger to the luxury lifestyle on the exclusive Hvar waterfront, but staff there were obviously a little impressed by the arrival of the latest boat to moor up in front of the restaurant.
At 77m, complete with on-board helicopter and a reported 650,000 euro a week rental price, luxury yacht Samar is one of the largest yachts to moor in the exclusive harbour, and its arrival was an additional tourism bonus for a town packed with tourists.
While it may be one of the largest to actual moor there, Samar is a relative dwarf in comparison to Roman Abramovich’s private yacht Eclipse, which was at the time the largest private yacht in the world when it anchored up in the open sea opposite the restaurant a couple of years ago.
And if you think owning or renting a mega-yacht is easy, have you ever considered how to park one? An expert effort from the skipper of Jimmy Lee’s 72m Kogo in Hvar Town, which you can enjoy here.
Many thanks to the Gariful team for the photos – you can learn more about the restaurant here.
