August the 14th, 2024 – The “Tourism Oscars” are a talking point among all tourism-oriented countries, and Croatia is no exception. The Travvy Awards will see Croatia nominated in three categories.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Croatia has been nominated in three categories of the prestigious American tourism awards, the Travvy Awards. They’re often affectionately called the “Tourism Oscars”. We’re talking about nominations for the best destination across the entire the Mediterranean, as well as for the best destination for cruises. The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), believe it or not, was nominated in the category of the best European tourist organisation.
“We’re delighted that the qualities of Croatia as a tourist destination have been specially recognised by the Travvy Awards 2024. These nominations are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the Croatian tourism industry in achieving international competitiveness. We’re very proud that, based on its advantages and a wide range of tourism content and services, we’re successfully presenting this country as a top destination on a global level,” said Leila Krešić-Jurić, director of the HTZ Representative Office across the pond in the USA, as reported by Index.

The Travvy Awards, sponsored by TravelPulse.com and AGENTatHOME magazine, are one of the most prestigious awards in the US travel industry. They are awarded to various stakeholders such as national tourism organisations, destinations, tour operators, carriers, travel agents, products, etc. They are voted on by various experts from across the tourism sector, as well as the general public.
The winners of the 2024 Travvy Awards will be announced at a ceremony on November the 7th at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention Centre in Florida, and voting will remain open until September the 6th.
