July the 26th, 2025 – Trogir bridge has been declared as one of the most impressive international projects of 2025. The 65 tonne bridge took only 8 months to be completed.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the new pedestrianised Trogir bridge, which connects the heart of the old city with the market and car park, has received a very prestigious award, declaring it among the most impressive international projects of 2025.

The attractive bridge that crosses the Foša River is therefore the recipient of one of the most important international awards in the world of architecture and engineering. It was awarded at the prestigious NCE Bridges Conference and Awards in London, organised by the New Civil Engineer (NCE) magazine, bringing together experts from across the world.

Although projects from China, France, Germany and Rwanda all competed for the award, the Trogir bridge was declared one of the most impressive international projects of 2025, according to Journal.

The authors of the awarded project are Prostorne taktike, a Split-based architectural studio. Their dedicated team showed that Trogir’s bridge is not merely another pedestrianised crossing, but something special clearly worth celebrating on an international stage.

The bridge is made of steel, shaped into a light parabolic shape, is 30 metres long, 10 metres wide and four metres high. It is also often referred to as the “bridge with a hole” because it has a gap in the middle of the structure, which is its most eye-catching detail.

As stated, the entire project was completed in a record time of just eight months, the bridge weighs 65 tonnes, and the construction totalled about one million euros.
