Word of Pelješac travels everywhere – after a presentation in Zagreb, a second wine presentation took place in the Guines wine bar in Sarajevo, where guests enjoyed the gastronomy offer of Pelješac and famous wines Plavac Mali, Postup and Dingač. Matuško’s Dingač, wines of the Putniković, Janjina, Dingač and Postup cooperatives, Bezek and Edivo wines, served with cheese in olive oil, traditional cakes and candied almonds, were a pleasure for every visitor’s palate.
At the Pelješac Wine Empire event, you will be taken on a tour of Plavac Mali vineyards, with a farmer’s brunch accompanied by folklore music and dancing and a bean stew competition.
The second day will see an organized walk along the Napoleon path from Ston to Ponikve and a wine tasting in the Ponikve wineries. At the pier in Drače you will encounter winemakers and clam farmers with oysters, with lamb on spit by the Antunović family farm from Kuna served at the Postup cooperative.
Besides tasting quality and superior wines, members of the Plavac Mali and Pelješac Wine Roads associations will endeavour to enrich the offer with additional content.
After some good fun in wineries, the St Ilija mountaineering society from Orebić will organize the traditional ascent of St Ilija mountain on May 1.
