vukovar-srijem tourism

February the 25th, 2026 – Vukovar-Srijem County in the extreme east of Croatia is far behind when it comes to tourism compared to the coast, but it seems set to experience a boost.

As Glas Slavonije/Voice of Slavonia/Marija Lesic Omerovic writes, the Vukovar-Srijem County Assembly is planning to adopt the Destination Management Plan on Thursday. The plan has been carefully and strategically considered and is a planning document that represents a solid foundation for the responsible, sustainable and balanced development of the area as a tourist destination.

This will all be carried out while respecting the needs of the local community and achieving the strategic goals of tourism development through various specific measures and projects. The management plan sublimates projects divided into three categories that will not be able to be implemented and will not be able to apply for funds if they are not adopted within this document.
