April the 15th, 2025 – The 45.5 million euro works on Split’s popular Žnjan are now entering their final phase. The city beach is otherwise Split’s largest.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, works began on the City of Split’s Žnjan plateau back in February 2024. The works being carried out to transform one of the Dalmatian capital’s favourite beaches amount to a massive 45.5 million euros.

It seems that according to all announcements, the end to these extensive efforts is now finally approaching, and all major and main works have been completed. Currently, the landscaping and completion of the interior and remaining exterior facilities are underway with a vision to be open to the wider public by the middle of next month.
The authorities from the City of Split have revealed the above in regard to timing, stating that that the newly renovated Žnjan plateau will open its “doors” in mid-May, once all of the necessary permits have been received.

A grand ceremony aptly named “Ča će mi Copacabana” after the famous song by the beloved late singer Oliver Dragojević will be held on the first day of summer, which is June the 21st, 2025, on the plateau itself.
