April 4, 2020 – Worldometers.info is one of the most popular websites in the world right now, and now there are much more detailed coronavirus statistics available for Croatia for the first time.
It has become an essential accessory in the corona age – Worldometers.info, the statistics site which carries the latest and most comprehensive data about the current pandemic.
Updated in real time, the Worldometers team are doing a phenomenal job at keeping the world updated on the latest situation of numbers of cases, deaths, active and serious cases. In recent days, they have added new tables – cases/1m population, deaths/1 million population, total tests, and test/1m population.
You can see how Croatia is doing in all these here.
But some great news this morning for Croatian corona stats addicts, as Croatia has been added to the countries where Worldometers is offering more detailed breakdowns of data.
Croatia now has its own dedicated page on the site.
The official government website already has charts on cumulative cases and recoveries, as well as daily new cases, but Worldometers offers a little more, including a chart of current active cases in Croatia.
A cumulative chart of total deaths.
And a chart of daily deaths in Croatia.
My experience of the website is that things are updated in real time in general.
Croatia currently releases its daily numbers at the official press conference by the National Civil Protection Headquarters at 14:00.
Another source of statistics from the corona crisis is Croatian news portal Index.hr, which is also tracking the growth in unemployment with a daily update on its homepage.
Index also has a very helpful breakdown of cases by location in Croatia, with fields for total cases, new additions that day, total deaths, new deaths that day, and recoveries.
