September the 16th, 2026 – The very commendable Zadar mobile pharmacy on a boat is in the final for the Best EU Project Award.
The Zadar project “Mobile Pharmacy – boat for the islands of Zadar County” has secured a place in the final of this year’s competition for the best EU project in the category Contribution to the Local and Regional Community. Morski reports that this very commendable initiative is primarily aimed at introducing a mobile pharmaceutical service in the island area in order to significantly facilitate residents’ access to medicines and professional advice, especially those in more traffic-isolated places.
The competition is organised by the Croatian Association of Counties, the Office of the European Parliament in Croatia and the portal Župan.hr, under the auspices of the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds. In strong competition from almost 50 projects submitted from all over Croatia, the expert jury selected a total of 36 finalists, with the Zadar mobile pharmacy competing among the 18 best in its category.
The winners in the readers’ choice category are decided by the public, and public voting officially ran from the 8th to the 15th of September, 2026.
