Zagreb’s Franjo Tudjman Airport Records Huge Numbers

Zagreb’s Franjo Tudjman Airport sees more traffic pass through it than Zagreb has ever seen before!

As Poslovni Dnevnik reports on the 2nd of August, 2017, July was a record month for Franjo Tudjman Airport when it comes to the number of passengers. A more than impressive 351,532 passengers passed through Zagreb’s airport last month, an increase of 14.5 percent compared to the same time period of 2016.

The busiest day was July 17, when 12,598 passengers were recorded, with a further 12,000 recorded over the following three days, eye-watering figures which have not been seen in Zagreb’s history until now. Exceptional traffic growth of 10 percent has continued throughout the whole year so far and the services of the busiest airport in the Republic of Croatia have been used by more than 1.6 million passengers in the first seven months of 2017.

The increase in the volume of work and human traffic is naturally accompanied by an increase in the number of employees, and since the opening of the new passenger terminal earlier this year, a total of 118 new employees have been hired, of whom 96 are employed while others are engaged in other manners.
