Part Of Zagreb’s Ilica To Close For All Traffic For Ten Days

Arm yourself with patience if you’re in Zagreb!

Zagreb’s highly photographed main street, Ilica, is set to close for ten days for all traffic on the turn between Frankopan street (Frankopanska ulica) to the western side of British square (Britanski trg).

The City of Zagreb’s official page has announced to all it may concern that for the purpose of carrying out the reconstruction of the tram lines, in the area of the aforementioned locations, Ilica will be closed off to all traffic from Thursday the 16th of August, 2018 from 10:00 to Saturday the 25th of August, 2018 until 04:00.

The traffic will be bypassed by the following routes:

Medulićeva – Ilica (Frankopanska) – Mesnička – Streljačka – Tuškanac – Vladimira Nazora – Britanski trg – Ilica

Ilica – Frankopanska – Klaićeva – Ulica Republike Austrije – Talovčeva – Reljkovićeva – Ilica

During the works on Ilica’s tram lines, traffic will be regulated according to the temporary regulations stated above.

“We’d like to warn our fellow citizens of possible traffic difficulties, and we’d like to ask for your patience and understanding,” reads an official statement from the City of Zagreb.
