Photo of the Day: Underwater Plantations

If you happen to come across neatly arranged lines of plastic canisters somewhere along the Adriatic sea, be aware of the underwater plantations of shells beneath them. They are usually set up in bays where the sea is calmer, but also richer with nutrients needed for shells to develop and grow. Close by you can often find sales of these shells, so be sure to stop by and get some truly fresh goodness in your meal.
