Miloš, Stagnum Rose, 2015

Price: 94,25 kn

Color and scent of blood orange.

Tastes like pomegranate, refreshing and somewhat sour.

The resemblance supersedes the aromatic associations, Stagnum rose in a glass is a “white” juice of a noble black variety. The juice that is drinkable and fresh, in which the acids are well incorporated and unnoticeable.

The juice that is refreshing because it is without the hint of any sweetness. Except in the aromas that are fruity, but also tea-like. The tannin is also present, evenly distributed as a fruity component of the seedless juice, the indicator of the material that wasn’t pre-processed.

The alcohol content (13,5%) is invisible, carefully integrated, present exclusively as a information carrier, a persuasive witness that what’s in our glass is wine, not fruit juice.

A wine so impressive and unbelievably subtle. A wine that can be enjoyed so simply, but is also an example of a paradox. For those looking for depth, Stagnum Rose needs to be kept waiting, so it can toughen up while exposed to air and gets to the operating temperature. It’s a privilege to be able to follow it developing in the glass, playing with your perception, creating the tension that captivates… and relaxes you.

This wine is a holiday on Pelješac. Just better 😀
