Nowhere in Croatia do rose wines achieve such harmony as in the Plastovo wine region. The typical disparity is owed to the climate and variety. Specific microclimate characteristics of Plastovo enable the cultivation of Lasina, an indigenous variety of the area. Plavina, although widespread, is also specific here.
And chilled harmony is what makes the difference between unbearable sticky heat and pleasant rest in the shade. Just like wine, a summer can be both, but when the sea warms up, better be ready.
The 2016 harvest sublimed Plavina and Lasina to their basics, the white essence. Strawberry and sour cherry, just near maturity.
From such grapes, specially cultivated for rose wine, comes a strong colour red almost as tomato juice, but with complete transparency. Drinkable aroma with a refreshing 12% alcohol. Harmony which chills and stimulates.
