And still the season continues…
One of the events at the end of the season which is growing in size and importance each year is Peskafondo, the annual squid fishing championship initiated by luxury fish restaurant Gariful. Now in its fifth year, the event is attracting a growing number of sponsors, international teams participating, and a bigger social programme to compliment the actual fishing. As a time when one would expect the town to be sleeping, here is a two-day event which brings it to life once more.
And this year’s Peskafondo promises to be very lively indeed. Taking place on November 6 and 7, the star attraction away from the squid will be Croatian singer Thompson, who has played to 60,000 fns at Maksimir, but will be performing to a more intimate group at Pink Champagne.
