June the 1st, 2023 – The brand new Osijek football stadium was helped in terms of creating time savings by no less than PlanRadar.
As Poslovni Dnevnik/Darko Bicak writes, with the arrival of a new season, Osijek Football Club (NK Osijek) will get the most modern stadium in Croatia, accompanied by a training camp spanning an area of 15.3 hectares. The new Osijek football stadium will boast an impressive 13,005 seats and 890 parking spaces.
PlanRadar saves time and cash
During the construction of the new grounds, a special computer was used to meet the high quality standards of the UEFA 4 category. In order to ensure the high quality of the works, and to respect the agreed construction deadlines and the budget, the PlanRadar digital platform was used during the construction process.
Hrvoje Sucic, a supervising engineer from Honcho, which performed the supervision, says that with this software, they saved about 45 minutes to an hour of time which would have been required by an engineer.
“Given that an engineer’s visit to a location in order to register a defect requires at least 45 minutes to an hour, and if we take into account the average hourly wage of an engineer, I’d say that we’ve arrived at savings of 10 thousand euros per engineer per year,” said Sucic.

Although PlanRadar has been applied to thousands of projects around the world, the project at the new football stadium has a special importance for Domagoj Dolinsek, the founder of PlanRadar, because he is a native of Osijek himself and a very passionate fan of the local “blue and white” football team.
