June the 29th, 2023 – The Czechs are already busy constructing the future RC Zone Samobor, and this is just the beginning for Croatia in this regard.
As Poslovni Dnevnik/Mladen Miletic writes, the well known Czech company RC Europe Group has started work on the construction of the RC Zone Samobor logistics park in the economic zone of Bobovica.
On the total land area spanning an impressive 170,000 square metres, there will be a new building of 86,000 square metres intended for rent.
Completion is planned for the end of 2024
In accordance with the typically very stringent requirements, needs and wishes of the tenants, the space in the future RC Zone Samobor logistics park can be used for storage, production or various types of office operations.
“The completion of the construction of the RC Zone Samobor is planned for the end of 2024, and we’re already witnessing great interest and the signing of contracts with future tenants. The owners of RC Europe are satisfied with the investment climate here in Croatia and greatly appreciate the cooperation and support of the local team, as well as all stakeholders in Samobor and beyond.
This is just the beginning of the realisation of our long-term plans for the Croatian market, and several new projects are already in preparation,” said Antonín Dillenz, CEO of RC Europe and project manager.
The Croatian company Facies was selected as the contractor
The domestic company Facies was previously selected as the construction contractor, which will also take care of green construction. The project will also include a 7 MW solar photovoltaic power plant on the roof, as well as truck and car charging stations, a modern canteen, and a number of other features that bring RC Zone Samobor into line with the highest standards for logistics projects in Europe.
Benefits for Samobor locals
An important prerequisite for the start of the construction of the park was the completion of the access road with a bridge, roundabout, bike path and public car park that can be used by visitors to the economic zone, as well as residents of Samobor. As Samobor mayor Petra Škrobot pointed out: “The benefits for the local community will be numerous: from the opening of several hundred new jobs, up to a significant improvement, and even relief of Samobor’s traffic infrastructure.”
