July the 15th, 2023 – Croatia is once again in the race to win the title of the Best European Destination for 2023, competing with the likes of Greece, Monaco, Italy and more. Here’s how you can cast your vote.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Dubrovnik is fighting for the title of the best European city, Hvar is nominated in the category of the best European islands, while Istria, Dalmatia and the rest of the Croatian islands are in strong competition for the title of the best European region.
Voting is open until October the 18th, 2023
The representative office of the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) in London has reported that you can participate in the online voting for Croatia until October the 18th this year, while the awards ceremony and announcement of the results will be held in London on November the 7th. This will take place during the world’s largest tourism fair, WTM, where Croatia has showcased its tourist offer for years.
“Competitions of this kind and Croatia’s participation amongst very strong competition represent a great recognition of this country as a destination that is firmly inscribed on the global tourist map. This is confirmed by several awards, such as the results from last year when Dubrovnik was declared the most desirable tourist city in Europe, and Croatia achieved 5th place in the category of the most desirable European destination, ranking ahead of countries such as Austria, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany and Scotland.
Among the singled out destinations was the island of Hvar, which took 7th place in the category of top 10 island destinations in all of Europe,” said the representative of the Croatian Tourist Board in London, inviting all travel lovers to vote in large numbers for Croatia and the aforementioned Croatian destinations.

Since travellers are looking for more meaningful and responsible trips that create unforgettable experiences, a list of categories for tour operators offering cultural, adventure, nature and other specialised trips has been launched.
