Two Arrests Made in Connection With Huge Čiovo Fire

July the 28th, 2023 – Following the enormous Čiovo fire, the smoke from which could be seen all over Central Dalmatia, two people have been arrested.

As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the police have reported the following: “Police officers immediately began conducting checks and establishing the facts on the ground in relation to the Čiovo fire that broke out yesterday, July the 27th, 2023, at around 15:20 in the town of Žedno.

Last night, two men were brought in for questioning to the official premises of the police. The pair are linked to the outbreak of the Čiovo fire. An investigation will be conducted and an investigation is now underway.”

So far, the police do not want to say whether the enormous Čiovo fire was actually started on purpose, that is, whether the arrested men started it or whether it was an accident.
