September the 29th, 2023 – Plava Laguna (Blue Lagoon), a large domestic tourism company, has now sold one of the very first Rijeka hotels – Bonavia.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the large Croatian enterprise Plava Laguna has now sold the Bonavia hotel, otherwise one of the first Rijeka hotels,for 8.1 million euros. A sales contract was signed with Bonavia Rijeka.
According to a statement released on the matter by Plava Laguna, the completion of the transaction is planned for November of this year, and with the conclusion of the transaction, the buyer will take over the employment contracts of all of the current employees working at the hotel.
According to the court register, Bonavia Rijeka is owned by Apretil Limited, a company registered in Cyprus. The hotel was part of Plava Laguna for the last decade, with them having purchased it from Goran Štrok, who had been the owner since back in the mid 1990s.
Nimrod Bouchman, who is also the president of the Jadran Rijeka hotel management board, which was taken over last year by an investor from Israel, Brown Hotels Group, is also listed as the company’s representative. This company also operates in Germany, Cyprus, Greece and Israel.
Hotel “Bonavia” is, as atated, one of the first Rijeka hotels to have opened its doors. It initially started operating way back in 1876, first as a tavern, and only later on converting into a hotel.
