October the 10th, 2023 – Following the recent fire in Osijek, last night a large Zagorje fire broke out. The fire was reported last night and firefighters have been at the scene.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, last night, what could have been a very serious fire broke out in the premises of the Eko-flor waste disposal company in Mokrice. This follows a similar situation which recently occurred in Osijek and caused significant issues with the air quality for local residents.
The local portal of the area, Zagorje.com, learned and reported from the Krapina-Zagorje police force and from the Zagorje public fire department that plastic was what was on fire on the premises.
“We received a report about the fire at 23:26. Firefighters have been on the ground and last night, the extinguishing of the fire quickly got underway,” firefighters told Zagorje.com upon being asked last night.
Police officers were also present on the field. Local firefighters managed to extinguish what could have been a very serious fire after just one hour, and remained on duty on the field overnight to control the situation.
No harm to any people or animals has been reported.
