November the 28th, 2023 – The Croatian company Đuro Đaković Special vehicles (Specijalna vozila) has been going from strength to strength of late. Their latest contracted job is a testament to that.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Đuro Đaković Special Vehicles (Specijalna vozila), a company within the wider Đuro Đaković Group, has successfully contracted the production and delivery of Tagnpps freight wagons worth 23.8 million euros with a Swiss enterprise. The delivery of these wagons is planned for some time in 2024.
Tagnpps 95 m3 wagons are four-axle covered wagons intended for safe and secure grain transportation. The wagons are equipped with a manually operated sliding roof that protects the transported grain from any potentially damaging weather conditions or other harsh external elements. Unloading is done through two manually operated unloading openings, and the unloading hatches can be opened in several steps, which can be used to dose the unloading of the grain into underground warehouses.
“With this project, the company Đuro Đaković Special Vehicles (Specijalna vozila) has further confirmed its commitment and strategic direction towards the development and production of wagons of special purpose and performance. This is along with the use of new generation production equipment with which the company is currently rounding off its development and production processes,” reads the company’s announcement on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
Earlier this year, this well known and enormous manufacturer from Slavonski Brod signed several contracts with no less than GATX Rail Europe for the production of Shimmns TTU freight wagons. This job carried a total value of almost 44 million euros. In its segment, this respected Croatian company has been a leading name for a great many years now, with Croatian products and expertise being exported from this Slavonski Brod-based enterprise across the rest of Croatia and indeed the rest of Europe.
