March the 7th, 2024 – The Croatian RALU Logistika (Logistics) company has now completed a 15 million euro project in Rugvica near Zagreb. With the completion of that project comes the opening of 100 new employment positions.
As Poslovni Dnevnik writes, the Croatian RALU Logistika company, which is otherwise the leading domestic and regional 3PL provider of integrated logistics services in a regime, has now completed the construction of a new deep-frozen warehouse in Rugvica. That completion came ahead of schedule. This concludes the company’s last investment cycle, worth more than 15 million euros, which has seen it expand its storage capacities and create conditions for further business growth. In addition, it will help it in more accurately meeting the growing needs of the market for 3PL service in the cold chain.
Work on the new deep-frozen and refrigerated warehouse began back in May 2023 in the Dragošička business zone in Rugvica. With the construction of a new warehouse, the capacities of the Croatian RALU Logistika enterprise as a whole grew by 6,500 new pallet spaces, in addition to their already existing 10,000 spaces.
With these commendable new investments, RALU Logistika is working to respond to the growing needs of its clients, for whom this segment of logistics is crucial for further growth in modern market conditions. In order to provide those same clients with a high-quality and continuously stable service, the company has also opened up 100 new jobs, and a further increase in the number of employees is planned over the next five years.
“This year, RALU is set to celebrate 35 years of successful operations, during which five distribution centres were opened, and we continue to deliver our clients’ products to 6,500 delivery points across the country. Our fleet has continuously grown, and today we can boast of 300 transport units with the possibility of two cooling regimes. We’re marking this important anniversary with the end of an investment cycle and the opening up of a new warehouse, which means that we’ll be able to welcome the coming season in an even more prepared manner.
This new warehouse allows us to provide an even better level of service quality to our existing clients, and we’re also prepared for more new clients who need proven and top-quality service in the cold and frozen regime. In addition, due to the increase in our warehouse capacities as a result, our current fleet growth plan includes 25 new tractors and semi-trailers for international transport, as well as 10 distribution vehicles for the delivery of goods throughout the country”, said Mario Mesaroš, President of the Management Board of RALU Logistika.
The company’s new storage centre has otherwise been designed entirely according to the needs of clients with large so-called “expedit”, that is, the necessary space for ordering finished products by delivery point. All warehouse operations take place with a modern WMS system that enables efficient processes, as well as rapid and high quality service provision. Through continuous investments, which now total over 80 million euros, the Croatian RALU Logistika company continues to confirm its leading position on the market in not only Croatia, but within the more immediate region.
