February the 5th, 2026 – Croatia’s SWEN has now officially acquired Diventa (ITI Computers), one of the longest-standing and widespread unified hotel info systems in Croatia’s immediate region.
As Sinisa Malus/Poslovni Dnevnik writes, Croatian’s SWEN Hospitality has completed the acquisition of Diventa (ITI Computers). The merger of these two companies will create a new IT hospitality group, which, after integration, covers about 30% of the total market.
For SWEN, this acquisition further strengthens Croatia’s position as one of the few European countries developing both tourism and technological infrastructure alongside it. Croatia’s SWEN, which operates as part of the Bornfight group and is owned by Tomislav Grubišić and Ante Mandić, sees the combination of tourism and tech as a natural competitive advantage.
bringing together tourism and tech provides a competitive edge

Diventa’s very many years of experience now merge with SWEN’s modern technological approach, whereby the acquisition doesn’t represent a classic takeover of the user base, but the beginning of a long-term transformation of products and tech. The overarching goal is not to develop another isolated software tool, but to build a new generation platform for the hospitality industry.
For existing and future clients, this means the gradual unification of key business processes in one place. SWEN is building a long-term software platform that not only serves to manage operations, but becomes the fundamental digital infrastructure on which hoteliers manage prices, capacity, people and data, with an emphasis on reliability, stability and long-term sustainability.
“The focus is on real business value for hoteliers – from the better utilisation of capacity and smarter price management, to the automation of processes that require significant human engagement, as well as the availability of reliable data in real time. This certainly marks a new chapter for Diventa”, point out Nikša Ivanović, Katija Lonza and Stane Kovačić, who led the company to the acquisition and still remain actively involved in managerial positions.
30 years of experience meets brand new models

While Diventa brings to the new group a very in-depth understanding of operational processes in hotels and campsites, SWEN, led by Leonard Dražić and Danijelo Potocka, has been developing a modern cloud architecture in recent years. That architecture places plenty of emphasis on a centralised data layer, advanced analytics and the gradual application of AI where required. It was precisely the combination of operational knowledge and modern technological approach that was key in the decision to merge the two companies.
“We’ve been developing SWEN for almost five years now, systematically and long-term, to meet the real needs of the market. Developing on modern technologies with integrated AI where needed, it’s very clear that adapting to changes is an integral part of our approach. We see such connections as an opportunity to create long-term value,” concluded Ante Mandić and Tomislav Grubišić.
croatia – a european challenger

Diventa has an impressive 30 years of experience in developing a unified hotel information system, which is currently used in a large number of hotels, campsites and tourist complexes, including some of the most operationally demanding facilities on the market. The company revealed that the market lacks a stable infrastructure platform on which hoteliers can base their business in the long term, with an emphasis on measurable business effects, better decision-making and greater resilience in an increasingly competitive environment.
The merger of Croatia’s SWEN and Diventa is seen as the first step in not only unifying tourism and tech development, but a broader growth strategy. That naturally implies further investments in the development of data and analytical infrastructure, strengthening the integration ecosystem and more potential acquisitions of complementary solutions across the region. The joint long-term ambition is a clear positioning as a relevant European challenger in the constantly altering and very demanding field of hospitality tech.
