June the 30th, 2026 – Dubrovnik Airport has recorded passenger growth compared to 2025 as demand constantly increases across the extreme south of Croatia.
Poslovni reports that Dubrovnik Airport is continuing to see very strong growth in air traffic, with passenger numbers increasing compared to back in 2025. This encouraging rise reflects continued demand for Dubrovnik as one of Croatia’s most popular tourist destinations and an important international travel hub.
Dubrovnik Airport has been benefiting from its traditional strong seasonal demand, especially during the summer months when thousands of visitors arrive in southern Croatia. Back in 2025, Dubrovnik Airport recorded growth in passenger traffic compared with 2024, with July figures showing more than 537,000 passengers, an increase of 3.3% compared with July 2024.
This impressive increase in traffic comes from stronger international connections and continued interest from foreign travellers. Dubrovnik’s popularity as a tourist destination, combined with airline routes connecting the city with major European markets, has helped maintain high passenger numbers.
The wider Croatian aviation sector has also experienced growth. National airport passenger traffic increased in 2025 compared with the previous year, with several major airports recording higher numbers. Dubrovnik remained one of the country’s busiest airports, alongside Zagreb and Split.
For Dubrovnik, airport growth is closely connected to tourism. More flights mean easier access for visitors, but they also bring challenges, including managing peak-season crowds and balancing tourism growth with the needs of the local community.
The latest figures suggest that Dubrovnik continues to strengthen its position as a major Mediterranean destination, with air travel playing a key role in Croatia and the entire immediate region’s economy.
