Croatia was ranked fourth, ahead of Malta, Cyprus, Spain and Portugal.
With the tourist season approaching, it is always great to see positive reactions to Croatia all over the international media. On April 18, 2016, The Telegraph published the results of their survey, in which they asked their readers to vote for 20 most beautiful countries in Europe and, to no surprise whatsoever, Croatia ended up in a very high 4th place.
This will make both the Croatian National Tourist Board and all tourism workers very happy since they are all hoping that the number of UK guests will increase for the 5th year in a row, and if the accolades are any indication, we can expect the Brits in higher numbers than ever before.

Famously short on sandy beaches, Croatia makes up for it with dozens of holiday islands scattered along its fractured coastline. It’s also helped by its excellent Italian-influenced cuisine, a short flight-time from the UK, and general all-round good value.
Here is their complete list of Europe’s best countries and it seems that, unlike the reporter behind The Telegraph’s article, their readers don’t seem to mind the shortage of sandy beaches on our coast since they’ve ranked it so high in front of Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Cyprus, all countries full of sandy beaches.
