The city is crowded with tourists, and the Open Fair is set up along the famous Riva
The Tourist season started well in the City of Split, and with the Saint Domnius day (Split’s patron saint) approaching, the city is getting ready for the big annual celebration. On April 20. 2016 we took some photos of Split’s Riva, with an Open Fair that just started, displaying original handmade crafts, products, and traditional souvenirs.
Riva is crowded with tourists, and they seem happy with the souvenir offer in the city. The tradition of the local people is to buy something made of wood on St. Domnius day, and the tourists are quickly following suit, as forgotten tools are displayed at the Open Fair.
The weather is perfect for sightseeing these days, and as the Tour Of Croatia is in Split today, it is a splendid time to be there. There is still some renewal of sites in progress, but it seems that all will be ready in time for another great tourist season in Split.
