Croatian Radio Television consults with the stars to predict political future.
In its late evening news on Wednesday, Croatian Radio Television (HRT) invited an astrologer to comment on current political situation. The host of the late evening news Petar Vlahov discussed with her over the phone whether the government would fall, reports Index.hr on June 16, 2016.
According to HRT, astrologer Anđelka Subašić earlier correctly predicted that Deputy Prime Minister Karamarko would have to leave the government. In her Wednesday’s interview, she said that the government would not be brought down on Thursday, and that Karamarko was being protected by the universe. She added that Tomislav Karamarko was in a bad period, but that it was only temporarily. “He is not politically dead, because God and the universe are protecting him from everything that is bad for him”, said the astrologer.
As for Prime Minister Orešković, she said that he was responsible and brave person. As far as leader of the opposition Zoran Milanović was concerned, she claimed that he was a scared person who had no firm positions and was in fear of making new errors.
She also discussed the fact that the vote on the motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister would take place on 16/6/2016, which is a date with three 6s.
However, it seems that this was too much even for HRT’s standards. On Thursday, editor and host of the late evening news Petar Vlahov was removed from the programme and received a final warning before dismissal.
In a statement, HRT announced that it was a public service of all Croatian citizens and that its leadership was making every effort for all viewers to be able to enjoy the highest quality programming content, which is consistent with the public role of the HRT’s mission and obligations.
Petar Vlahov was not available for comment.
