An idea that has been years in the making finally comes to fruition this year. From July 8 to 31, Zagreb’s most picturesque park Zrinjevac will become another focal point for summer activities. All citizens and tourists will be able to enjoy a series of excellent concerts and entertainment in the summer evenings, including everything from comedy to dancing and sports workshops.
Monday and Wednesday evenings are reserved for Rock & Pop and Jazz & Soul concerts including Danijela Večerinović, Ivana Marić, Soul Shadows, Živa legenda, Milo Stavros & Artemija, Rolin Humes and others. Tuesdays will host literary evenings, including a handwriting playwright from Tene Štivičić. Every Thursday evening will host the best stand-up comedians such as Gorana Vugrinca Goca and Vlatka Štamparav and Fridays for DJ virtuosos like Ozren Kanceljak.
Saturdays will hold surprise pop-up concerts from some of the biggest musical talents in the Croatian music scene, with the names not being announced until that day.
In the mornings from 9h-11h, a sports zone at Zrinjevac will host yoga, meditation, tai-chi classes, and relaxation techniques – the ultimate goal being to stimulate the creation of healthy habits, exercise, and lifestyle.
In the evenings from 17h-19h, martial arts classes will be held, for free.
There will also be various “active” workshops for children, held from 9h-11h and 16h-19h.
In charge of these various programs and activities is Zagreb studio Laboratory, a studio encouraging fun, laughter, and activeness with educated and skilled animators.
A gastronomic affair as well, Zrinjevac will also transform into a truly relaxing oasis, your summer complete with lawn chairs, umbrellas, and a plethora of refreshing drinks, and savory and sweet fare.
