The prestigious recognition is a result of a positive trend in the national airline, after an expansion of network resulted in four new routes to European destinations
At the recently finished Farnborough Air Show, prestigious international awards were handed out – at The World Airline Awards, Croatia Airlines (CA) was declared one of the best airline companies in Eastern Europe. Despite strong competition, CA took a high fourth place, leaving behind some of the best companies of the region, including companies from Serbia and Slovenia (seventh and eighth place, respectively), Poslovni Dnevnik published on July 18, 2016.
The World Airline Awards are a prestigious global recognition in the airline industry, known as the airline Oscar. Airlines are awarded based on the experience of passengers, with over 19 million taking part in a poll this year alone. Included were 40 key indicators of success among 280 airlines around the world.
“We are exceptionally glad to strengthen our market position with this global recognition as one of the best European companies. We can say with pride that this is a result of our systematic investment into advancing our services and passenger satisfaction, which can be seen also in the wider route network,” said Krešimir Kučko, Management President of CA.
