U2 frontman Bono Vox was seemingly thrilled with the feast prepared for him on Sveti Klement isle near Hvar by a master of Dalmatian cuisine Hrvoje Zirojević
“I gave it my best, there were ten courses. I began the series with cold seafood platters, firstly the ‘raw plate’ with raw scampi, sea urchin spawn, oysters and more. We then continued with a tuna compote – made up of raw fish in aceto balsamico, olive oil and spices. Next up was swordfish Carpaccio, where already they called me out to join them at the table. But I had no time then until dessert, plenty of meals to prepare,” said Hrvoje Zirojević who is a great fan of Bono and his humanitarian work, as reported by 24sata.hr on August 17, 2016.
When the chef finally came into the garden, Bono Vox and his entourage greeted him with a thunderous applause. The singer also asked him his phone number. “I travel to many places, have tried many things, but this was incredible,” Bono told the chef. Zirojević has experience in enthralling world celebrities during their visit to the Hvar islands. He has also cooked for Beyonce and Jay-Z, football legend Andriy Shevchenko as well as princes of Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
