Lonac, one of the most prominent Zagreb street artists, has been named for having one of the most popular summer street art murals throughout the globe.
One of the oldest and most closely followed portals for contemporary street art – Street Art New – published their picks for the 10 best street art murals around the world during the months of July and August.
Listed 4th on the list is Zagreb artist Lonac, an artist whose works come to life on dilapidated facades, neglected pedestrian underpasses and pitiful pieces of gray concrete.
The mural that was chosen by Lonac was titled “Off you go” created at “Re:Think Sisak” that took place from June 26 – July 2 this year – a festival determined to “re-think” the public spaces of Sisak through artistic interventions.

Out of 10 murals chosen, 8 were created in Europe, 1 in North America and 1 in South America. Street Art New claims that the European continent is always more active during the summer as artists have the opportunity to travel from one country to another with the assistance of street art festivals.
Lonac is a young street artist who studied graphics at the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts.
