Hotel D-Resort in Šibenik, designed by architects Nikola Bašić and Marko Murtić, has been nominated for the prestigious “International Hotel & Property Award”, which selects the best design solutions of world famous hotels.
“The International Hotel & Property Award” is part of the Design Awards hosted by Design et al, a leading design magazine in the UK. The awards themselves are characterized by a vote open to professionals from the world of design, as well as to all readers, clients and customers.
D-Resort Šibenik is among the 7 finalists for the prize at the global level in a category for hotels with less than 200 rooms. D-Resort is 1 of 4 hotels nominated from Europe.
These design awards aim to provide an overview of design, identification of talents and creation of opportunities – looking for places that inspire the senses in terms of design and allocation. The awards ceremony will be held on Friday, September 16 at the Cipriani Hotel in Venice.
D-Resort Šibenik is a rare example of the integration of architecture (Nikola Bašić) and interior design (Marko Murtić), which resulted in one perfectly integrated project. The main concept was the creation of its own, modern vision of Mediterranean architecture, completely re-designed and deprived of globalization, as well as the global trends in the hotel industry today.

Nikola Bašić from D-Resort has also been in the headlines lately with Brad Pitt, discussing future developments for a resort in the Šibenik area. Best of luck to D-Resort Šibenik on Friday!
