Situated in the quiet “Shell Bay” just 2 kilometers away from Korčula’s old town, Port 9 is a new resort that sits in the vicinity of the town’s towers.
Slated for opening in June of 2017, Port 9 will consist of five pavilions, a restaurant complex, reception and wellness and spa facilities, all named after the work and travels of Marco Polo, who was born in Korčula. The new design was done by Kaliterna arhitektura d.o.o.
The new resort will boast 177 accommodation units including 49 standard rooms, 35 superior rooms, 24 junior suites, 56 family rooms, 3 spacious suites, and 6 luxurious junior suites. All rooms include a balcony or terrace.
The gourmet offer includes 2 buffet restaurants, an a la carte restaurant, a lobby bar, beach grill bar, pool bar, vitality bar, and Lanterna tavern on the beach.
Guests can enjoy outdoor pools, two tennis courts, bike and boat rentals, and plenty of sport’s activities.
Buro 247 reports that investment group HTP Korčula dd invested around 50 million kuna as part of the total planned investment, which has restored most of the accommodation, achieving the level of a hotel with 4 or more stars.
Port 9 is intended for families with children and guests who are looking for an active vacation in the vicinity of the sea and lush vegetation near Korčula Old Town. With the opening of Port 9 Resort foreseen for the next summer season, Korčula further enhances themselves as a top destination on the Adriatic coast.
