There are many wonderful things about the holiday season, and Uber has enriched the holidays with UberGIVING, an initiative to give to those in need within the four Croatian cities where Uber exists.
Slobodna Dalmacija reports on 19 December 2016 that through the initiative UberGIVING, Uber invites users to donate gifts for children in children’s homes in Zagreb, Split, Zadar and Dubrovnik. This effort will help those in need at the House of AG Matoš in Zagreb where there are 39 children, the Children’s Home Maestral in Split where there are 86 residents, the Home for the Education of Children and Youth in Zadar where there are 105 boys and girls, and the House of Olive (Dom Maslina) in Dubrovnik where there are 20 children.
To participate in the campaign to help those in need, open the Uber app and enter the promo code: UBERGIVINGZG if you are in Zagreb or UBERGIVINGCC for the coastal towns.
“Our technology allows us to do amazing things, making the act of giving even simpler and more accessible. Thanks to the campaign UberGIVING in Croatia, users will get a chance to deliver gifts to children in children’s homes to make the holidays so special. In addition, we want to make this Christmas special for our customers. That is why we want to include the campaign initiative called UberTREE: the user will request an Uber via the app to be brought a Christmas tree,” said Davor Tremac, Director of Uber for South Eastern Europe.
The initiative begins December 19 and will last until December 23. More details about the campaign can be found at the Uber blog. For a detailed list of Christmas wishes for children, you can contact the telephone numbers of the homes HERE.
