Hotels Plat in the Župa dubrovačka area outside of Dubrovnik will experience a rebirth from a new business cycle in 2017 under the umbrella of the new owner of Karisma Hotels Adriatic (KHA) who purchased majority stake for 118 million kuna.
Yesterday the Ministry of Tourism, on the Commission for assessment and determination of proposals for strategic projects, decided that the whole project of “Hotels Plat” be announced as a strategic investment project for Croatia, reports HRTurizam on December 30, 2016. TCN first announced this project over the summer.
“We plan significant investment for Hotels Plat, where we intend to fully restore all existing accommodation facilities – of those that are currently in operation and those that are out of order. We are sure that the location and the offer of Plat should and can be at a much higher level. To prepare the investments, we have already deployed a team of experts that have started with the preparation of the necessary documentation in order to complete their planned investments for the tourist season in 2017,” the KHA, who added that the project includes the reconstruction of the hotel complex to a resort hotel with 4 * 5 * and a capacity of 600 units.
Of the additional facilities, it is planned to construct modern restaurants, a la carte restaurants, bars, pastry shops, tennis courts, swimming pools and other facilities, and the implementation of the project is planned to create about 500 new jobs.
Hotels Plat is an independent hotel complex in Plat in Župa dubrovačka which includes two hotels, annexes, six villas and two pavilions, of which one hotel and six villas (all categorized with three stars) are in use.
