The capitol city has finally received its own version of the tourist card: Meet the Zagreb Card.
The “Zagreb Card” tourist card is a way for visitors and tourists in Zagreb to exercise free travel on public transport and the funicular, have free entrance to the city’s various museums, the zoo and the lookout at the Zagreb Eye. The tourist card also contains many discounts and benefits when used for a variety of tourist services, as well as in shops and restaurants, reports HRTurizam on February 4, 2017.
Thanks to the Zagreb Tourist Board, in cooperation with partner Fivestars, the Zagreb Card came to fruition.
“In the future we are considering a mobile platform, but this year’s major news is the redesign of the card and the change in concept. Since the card was previously only offered for free transport and discounts, we have now made it be an all-inclusive card – which includes transportation, 2 attractions and 4 museums, and additional discounts,” says Jasenka Mandžuka, head of marketing for the Zagreb Tourist Board, adding that for now the card is only available through differentiation of time use.
Zagreb Card is available to tourists in two versions, for 24 hours at a cost of 98.00 kuna and for 72 hours at a price of 135.00 kuna.
“In communication it was certainly more important to have the 72h card as it influences a longer stay in Zagreb. The main objective of the new concept of the Zagreb Card is to enrich the city break product in Zagreb, which then affects guest satisfaction,” concludes Mandžuka.
